EABL Head Coach Jake Chapman, a former Derby Trailblazers Academy player, specialises in skill development and pushing players. His extensive experience includes coaching at Moulton College, with the GB over 40s in Europe, and in the European Youth Basketball League. His distinct style uses quick hits and zone options.

MARK WOODHOUSE
Academy Lead
Mark “Woody” Woodhouse, the Academy Lead, previously played 3 seasons for the Blazers, contributing to their 2009 Division 1 league and 2010 National Trophy wins. After a successful professional career across Europe, he moved into coaching within men’s senior national league, notably leading Team Derby Spartans to a Division 4 playoff title and promotion from Division 3 to Division 2.
- Played 3 seasons with the Trailblazers, winning the 2009 D1 league and the 2010 National Trophy
- Played professionally across EU (Including Iceland, Spain, Belgium.)
- Development included South Nottinghamshire College Academy, and NCA&T University (USA)
- Coaching baskround is mostly in men’s senior National League
- Led Team Derby Spartans to a 2018 D4 title and 2019 D3-D2 promotion
