The Derby Trailblazers operate a successful junior development programme, with teams operating at Under 18, U16, U15 and U13 levels, as well as a full programme of mini-basketball.

In 2007/08, the Under 18's won the Midlands Premier League and were placed third in the country at the end of season play-offs.
