Derby welcomed back Paige, Tash & Lucy Walker but were still missing starting centre Phoebe due to an ongoing foot issue and also without photographer Alan who was on Div 1 duties...


D1: Trailblazers grind out thrilling win in local derby

Blazers LOGO Div1As local derbies go, this game was a classic. There were twenty changes of lead and a further eleven occasions when the scores were tied. On top of that, Derby led for less than eight and a half minutes of the contest, but a crucial eight-point swing over the final eight minutes helped them to pull off a 75-71 win in front of a packed crowd at the Clarence Wiggins Sports Hall


D1: Trailblazers go second after big win in Kent

DSC 0872Derby Trailblazers maintained their 100% start to the NBL Division One league season with a convincing 77-58 away win over Kent Crusaders. A blistering start to the game was the key to Derby’s success. They led 16-4 after four minutes and stretched that advantage to 35-15 by the fourth minute of the second quarter

The young Blazer girls were without a number of players including starters Phoebe Colton & Paige Ferguson due to injury & illness but nevertheless


D1: Dragons fire extinguished as Derby win opening home league game

DSC 3881Derby Trailblazers made it two league wins out of two by winning their first home game of the NBL Division One season against Bradford Dragons 82-60. Injuries and non-availability of players meant Bradford had just eight available, and only six took an active part.


D1: Trailblazers crush Leicester on route through to Cup Quarter Final

DSC 0700Despite having been taken to overtime the previous evening, Derby Trailblazers showed no sign of fatigue on Sunday afternoon, as they produced an emphatic 94-69 away win over Leicester Warriors in the third round of the Men’s National Cup. Their reward is a trip to Essex Leopards in the quarterfinals, with the tie scheduled for Sunday 15th November at 4pm.


D1: Trailblazers start league season with thrilling overtime win over Hemel

Hemel Storm Low ResDerby Trailblazers got their division one season off to a cracking start by winning a pulsating match away to Hemel Storm 119-112. Overtime was needed to separate the two sides, who were tied at 100-all after regulation.
